Hey.... here's your answer buddy....
Nobody is born a criminal. This statement is absolutely true.God is never partial to anybody. To the god, each and everyone, from a beggar to a king are equal. Each and everyone show innocence when born but the world changes a person so much that it is difficult to turn them back to normal.
In the story, the man was not a criminal. He was just poor.He loved his wife and wanted to save her life.He tried his best to find food for her but he could not so he was forced to steal food.He only wished to get his wife's health back to normal but he was arrested so he could not save her. Before getting arrested,he should have been given a chance to tell the truth.
Ten long years in prison is not a small thing. All he needed was someone to help me choose the right path. After getting arrested he not only lost his wife but also lost a chance to make his life better.
He was an innocent man who was changed into a devil because of the world. He spent so much time behind the bars.He was forced not to trust people and show them what he is not.In the chapter,Bishop showed him his kindness and led him towards the right path.
So,nobody is a born criminal, the world's cruelty and time changes everything. Our life lies in our hands.Only we can change it because we are the only ones who walk through the path we choose.
I hope this will be helpful.....
