Nomadic pastoralists got the things they needed through Barter system.
A barter system is an old method of exchange. In this people exchange services and goods for different or other services and goods in return. In order to purchase goods and services Nomadic pastoralists kept on moving from one place to another with their animals. They had products like ghee, wool, milk, etc. which they get from their animals, but they didn't had agricultural products such as grain, cloth, etc. So they used to exchange their milk products with the agricultural products. Nomadic traders such as Banjaras bought grains from cheap places and used to sell them in dearer or expensive places, and used to earn profits. Nomadic pastoralists played an important role in connecting India to other countries of the world.
