non-biodegradable waste can not be a breakdown by microorganism for example plastic it can be destroyed by burning but after burning they yield harmful gases overall they are harmful for the environment so for preventing this we use 3R principle that is reuse, reduce and recycle
if they buried under the land for long time nothing will happen then remain same

Non biodegradable materials do not get degraded in the soil very easily,as compared to biodegradable materials.
When non biodegradable materials are exposed to the soil for a very long time (say100-200 yrs)under the influence of high heat and pressure these materials get converted into different compounds
