What happens during vomitting? Here food from the stomach and oesophagus comes out vai mouth. Here it is in a direction opposite to that of peristalsis. Hence it is termed as non directional peristalsis. This happen due to contraction of the muscles in upward direction which results in movement of food particles through the mouth to outside. It is an example of non directional peristalsis.
