Non metals don't conduct electricity and heat. But graphite is used as electrodes in bateries because it is a exception.
Since graphite have free mobile electrons therefore they conduct electricity.
Carbon is a non metal and graphite and diamond are form of it.
Since these shows some properties of metals, therefore graphite conduct electricity and diamond conduct heat.
