Non nitrogenous excretory products of plants is
Answers
excretory is nothing but elimination of toxic substances from the body.
Usually animals and living beings have an advanced excretory system but the scenario is different with plants.
The plants excretory system is not up to the mark. The non hydrogeneous excretory substances of plants are CO2, O2 and water
Solution :-
Elimination of toxic and waste products from the body is called excretion. Organisms like animals have an advanced and specialized system for excretion. But plants lack a well-developed excretory system like that in animals. They do not have special organs for excretion. Thus excretion in plants is not so complex.
The cellular respiration, photosynthesis, and other metabolic reactions produce a lot of excretory products in plants. Non nitrogenous excretory products produced by plants are as follows.
1) Carbon dioxide and excess water are produced during respiration. Excess of water is excreted from the plant body through the stomatal pores and from the surfaces of fruits and stems. The process of elimination of water is called transpiration.
2) Plants produce oxygen during the process of photosynthesis. Excretion of gaseous wastes in plants takes place through stomatal pores on leaves.
