As you know we have many animals in our country but today we are going to see difference between alligators and crocodiles.As we know alligators are U shaped round snout and crocodiles are V shaped round snout. Alligators live in fresh water whereas crocodiles live in fresh and saline water.
So we know alligators have wide jaws in which upper jaw is wider than the lower jaw crocodiles have narrow jaw where both the jaw are of same size. When alligators mouth are closed only upper teeth are visible whereas when crocodiles mouth is closed both the teeths are visible.
Alligators do not have any functioning salt gland but crocodiles do have functional salt gland. Alligators have sensory pit on scales near the jaw but crocodiles have sensory pit in every scale of the body
