"Normal range of breathing rate per minute in an average adult person at rest is

ii) 15- 18

A normal and healthy adult has 15- 18 breaths per minute.

The quiet respiratory rhythm is set by the respiratory center at around two seconds for an inhalation and three seconds for exhalation as a result of which the lower of the average rate of respiration is 15 breaths per minute.
