Normally when we learn something we feel a sense of achievement but in the peom once upon a time why does the father feel sorry to have learnt many things?

becuz feeling achieved is happens when we really learnt something good n useful ... but not when we learnt something that shouldn't be...
I no it is not a very accurate information but...
