This is because the climatic conditions are good at the northern plains. River Ganges passes through it which deposits fertile soil. The rain is also in a proportion. Sometimes floods occur which results into the deposit of more fertile soil there. The sunlight is neither too less nor too much there. Land is also plains which are really suitable just like the other features. Hence northern plains are most productive in India.
