The basic definition of parasitism is 'the tendency of an organism to rely on the body or body functions of other organisms for nutrition and nourishment without having its own digestive system' i.e. the parasite doesn't have any thing of its own it totally depends on host for the nutrition.
Now, these parasites are of two types;
1. Endoparasite (exhibits endoparasitism) - which lives inside of the body of host organism from where it takes the nutrition, like Ascaris, Hook worm, Tape worm
2. Ectoparasite (exhibits ectoparasitism) - which gets the nutrients from the host organism from outside of its body, for example Hirudinaria, mites, ticks, etc.
Hence, all types of parasitism involves feeding off from the host's body.
