Not all persons exposed to particular microbe suffer from the disease caused by it. If we become exposed to or infected with an infectious microbe it does not necessarily mean that we will develop a noticeable disease.why not ?

Because of our immunity system. If we are immuned to fight against a disease, we will not suffer from that disease. But if our immunity system fails to fight against a disease causing microbe then, we suffer from that disease.
