Answer:

Thomas Jefferson's vision of the United States was that it would be a nation of small farmers. This is somewhat strange given that he owned a large plantation but he, nonetheless, believed that the US should be a very democratic and egalitarian nation made up mainly of independent farmers.

He favored an agrarian federal republic, a strict interpretation of the Constitution, and strong state governance.

He did live up to his own political ideals, with the exception of a few key events. Although Jefferson was a strong supporter strict constructionism, some of his presidential choices do not reflect these ideals. One of the most well known and controversial deals ever made would be the Louisiana Purchase.

He believed that the main purpose of the United States government was to protect each individual persons rights. He was the 3rd President of the United States. President Jefferson was also the main author of the Declaration of Independence.
