Answer:

(i)The formula that describes refraction is also known as Snell's Law. The angle of refraction depends on the angle of incidence of the light.

(ii) The distance travelled is 5549 - 4849 = 700 Km (the difference of the odometer readings)

The average speed = Total distance travelled / Total time taken = 700 /25 = 28 Km/hr

(iii) Newton's First Law states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force

(iv) The Tyndall effect is the scattering of light as a light beam passes through a colloid.

(v) Weight varies with location depending upon the acceleration due to gravity eg. for a mass m = 10kg on Earth it`s weight is W = mg = 10 x 10 = 100N.

(vi) A vertical shift is when the graph literally moves vertically, up or down. The movement is all based on what happens to the y-value of the graph. The y-axis of a coordinate plane is the vertical axis. When a function shifts vertically, the y-value changes. The x-value stays the same, while the y-value changes the amount of the shift. If it shifts up, then we add the value to the y-term. If it shifts down, we will subtract that value from the y-term.

(vii) An image is formed because light emanates from an object in a variety of directions. Some of this light (which we represent by rays) reaches the mirror and reflects off the mirror according to the law of reflection. ...

(viii) The unit of momentum is the product of the units of mass and velocity. In SI units, if the mass is in kilograms and the velocity is in meters per second then the momentum is in kilogram meters per second (kg⋅m/s).

SI unit: kilogram meter per second kg⋅m/s

(ix) The chalks are made up of calcium carbonate. When it is broken, it breaks the chemical change and chemical change cannot be reversed. So, it does not rejoin anymore. The chalk is broken so it is made up of calcium carbonate and chemical changes may be changed

(x) if there is no friction on earth we cannot do any of our single work.

* we cannot walk.

* our circulatory system does not work.

* villi cannot send messages.

* we cannot drive.

vehicles will be useless.

* we cannot carry anything.

(xi) THE reason is that Diamond is a crystalline solidstructure of the atoms and molocules that make it up. when light passes though it it becomes reflected by the many internal surfaces and can also be split into different colors like a rainbow.

A glass crystal is generaly a simple glass with a constituant of lead which gives the glass its attractive appearance. There is no internal cristalline structure in glass so only reflections can occur when the light is reflected on an opposite surface.

Reason also occurs due refructive index.

(xii) Average velocity and average speed are not always the same as average velocity is related to the displacement of a body whereas average speed is related to the distance travelled by a body. ... On the other hand, the average speed can be determined by dividing the total distance travelled by a body with time.
