Yet, man is least bothered about this and poses threat for his own existence by damaging the environment. The earth is called the ailing planet because almost all its vital resources have been depleted by human exploitation. Drying rivers, deteriorated forests, and polluted environment are some reasons why the earth is called an ailing planet.
