The Ghat of the only world is a poem or you can say a tribute to a friend.

In this the Amitav Ghosh writes about his friend Shahid, who was suffering from malignant brain tumor and was aware that he was going to die.

He himself was a great poet and asked his friend to write about him in his poem after his death. This is an obituary.
