Title - LANDSCAPE OF SOUL

Difference between the western and eastern painting and the format or objective i.e. The European and Chinese painting.

• Takes notes of various relative tales.

• Nek Chand has been recognised and honoured by UNESCO for his piece of work.

• A painting by Wu Daozi for the emperor for the wall of his palace is described and taken note.

• The painting by Wu Daozi is an expression of natural view projecting forests, greens, mountains and rivers.

• The painter projects and mentions the presence of a soul in the cave and the soul symbolically being the soul of the artist for the fact that the painting is made and projects the view and soul of the artist.

• Chinese landscapes in contrast for not a view and projection of any real or actual view.

• The Chinese paintings were open to different views as per the different observers or viewers.

• Western painters painted the painting with one particular view and tend to restrict it to the same and wanted the viewer to see the painting with the very view of the artist itself.

• Differentiates between figurative paintings and raw paintings.

• Talks of the middle void being overlooked in general.

• The paintings were restricted to one view and were not in actual real form e.g. the artist didn’t draw the image of the eye of the dragon.
