Global Warming :

Global warming is a term used to explain a gradual warming of the Earth due to natural and man-made changes.

The Earth's atmosphere stops some of the heat that radiates off the Earth from escaping back into space.

This heat keeps the planet warm enough for life to exist.

Scientist believe that over the last 150 years (since the revolution) the burning of fossils fuels has raised the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and therefore the temperature of the Earth.

Compounding this has been the removal of millions of trees that could have helped to absorb the carbon dioxide.

Scientists believe that an increasing global temperature may cause major changes in whether patterns and in sea levels

* Global Warming *

Global warming is the steady and continuous rise in the level of earth temperature. Out earth surface is becoming hotter day by day just because of some unnoticeable habits of human beings all across the world.

The climate has been continuously changing for centuries. One natural cause of global warming is greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide. It traps the solar rays and prevents them from escaping the surface of the earth.

This causes an increase in the temperature of the earth. Volcanic eruptions are another reason for global warming. A single volcanic eruption can release a great amount of carbon dioxide and ash to the atmosphere. Increased carbon dioxide leads to a rise in the temperature of the earth.

Also, methane gas is another contributor to global warming. Methane is also a greenhouse gas. Methane is twenty times more effective in trapping heat in the atmosphere than carbon dioxide.
