Given :- The ratio of speeds of Rajat and Rupa is 3:2. If Rupa takes 2 hours more than Rajat to cover a certain

distance, find the time taken by Rajat (in hours) to cover the same distance.

Answer :-

we know that, when distance is same ,

  • Speed ∝ 1/Time .

so,

→ Rajat speed : Rupa speed = 3 : 2 .

then,

→ Rajat time : Rupa time = 2 : 3

let rajat time is 2x hours and rupa time is 3x hours.

A/q,

→ 3x - 2x = 2 hours

→ x = 2 hours .

therefore,

→ Time taken by rajat = 2x = 2 * 2 = 4 hours (Ans.)
