legislature is the part of government that deals with the framing of laws for the public.
executive is the organ of the government that deals with the implementation of these laws formed by the legislature.
whereas the judiciary keeps a check on whether these laws are being implemented or not by the citizens or the public.

Our political system is based on the principal of separation of power between legislative , executive and judiciary.

Easiest way to understand this is...Legislation means law making Legislative body is our parliament because it is responsible for making laws, policy and programs.

Executive - They make sure that all these programs are implemented and executed properly. Basically they deal with administration. Eg. Bureaucracy,IAS , IPS.
