one of the examples in history include the granting of diwani by Mughal Emperor Shah Alam to Robert Clive in 1765. The occasion happened most probably in Clive's tent but in the painting it is shown as a majestic event .

This painting clearly shows that how important the grant of Diwani was For the imperialist mindset of British Colonialists
