Nothing in the cosmos is actually stationary as our own galaxy the milky way and all the other galaxies in the universe is moving ,the stars even our sun is rotating...space itself is expanding though the reason is not perfectly known.

According to the statement mentioned in the question that,

"Nothing in the Cosmos is stationary."

To explain this statement,we have to start in a smaller scale.

We can judge whether an object is stationary or not,by watching the object from our perspective.

But nothing is stationary on the earth, because our planet is always rotating and revolving. But we cannot feel this rotation due to our small perspective.

Similarly, the whole solar system and the whole Cosmos is rotating and revolving constantly. But we cannot feel this constant movement due to our very small perspective of seeing anything.
