Library Committee had been constituted for the purpose of smooth functioning of the library and coordination with all Heads of the Department, faculty members, students and the management. The library committee has below mentioned members:

To formulate various policies related to library like, collection developement, purchase, space etc.
To propose library budget for the Institutes and department
To propose library activities, programmes and services
To propose library vision, strategy document
To propose library and information literacy in the instituteTo formulate knowledge and information archiving and management policy at the institute.The significant initiative has been taken by the Library Committee are: 

Building and Maintaining Knowledge (Institutional) Repository using DSpace software for preserving and archiving ETDs, faculty publications and institutional publications.Library membership has been extended to Corporate Houses, Organizations and alumni students.Remote Log-in Facility for accessing online resources is being provided to all faculty members and students of Nirma University thus making online resources available 24X7 to the users.Open Source web based Library Management System KOHA is being implemented in all libraries of Nirma University.Implementing Library policies – Library Material Purchase Policy, Book Bank Policy, Electronic Resource Access Policy, Remote Login Usage Policy, Weeding Out PolicyLibrary Book Loan limit is increased for UG and PG Students.Library is extended (added Bound Volume section)
