Given :  A total profit of Rs. 36000 is to be distributed among Rajesh, Shailesh and Rajiv, such that

Rajesh and Shailesh share in the ratio 5:4, while Shailesh and Rajiv share in the ratio 8:9.

To Find : share of Rajiv

Solution:

Rajesh and Shailesh share in the ratio 5:4

Rajesh share = 10x

then Shailesh share = 8x

Shailesh and Rajiv share in the ratio 8:9.

Shailesh share = 8x

Then Rajiv share = 9x

Total = 10x + 8x + 9x  = 27x

share of Rajiv  = (9x/27x) * 36000 = 12000

share of Rajiv is Rs 12000
