When the doctor looked into the mirror he smiles because he thought he was an attractive bachelor and a doctor too. And he was proud of his status and appearance. The next time when he smiled was because he was helpless, nervous and he considered himself to be a foolish and a stupíd doctor as he had no medicines in his room and he was frightened of the snake which had coiled on his left arm and his vanity had changed into humility.
