A Birthday party
I always celebrate my birthday with a modest pomp and show, and this is what I did yesterday on my 14th birthday.
days before I had sent invitation cards to my friends and relatives. most of them had responded positively. only a few had expressed their reluctance to attend the party in view of their previous engagements.
my best friend, Trisha, came to our house a day earlier. both of us went to the market and made the necessary purchases. the birthday was to be celebrated in the evening and by the noon yesterday, we were equipped with everything in tiptoe order.
my relatives and close friends started pouring in, the afternoon. some of them who came from distant places took lunch with us.
the party started in our large dinner hall in the evening. the place was well- lighted with colourful lamps, balloons, ribbons and bunting. the chair had been arranged by the servants. a large table was laid in the middle of the room.
the cake arrived on time. the renowned Baker,Mr. sirnran, had prepared it. it was a beautiful chocolate cake with the words"Happy Birthday to Reena"embossed on it.
I stood before the cake in a fascinating dress and looked like a princess as the study of snaps later told me. I cut the cake after extinguishing all the candles but one. everybody clapped saying',Happy Birthday to you.
every guest was given a piece of cake,sweets,namkeen,cold drinks ,ice Cream etc. then there were songs and dances to the tune of a deck. there were also skits and titbits. it was a mini cultural show.
every guest had brought a gift for me. one of the tables in the hall was loaded with glittering gifts. I was very happy and so were all my friends and relatives.

one of my favourite place to visit is the beach. it feels so fresh, cool and relaxed. I enjoy playing in the beach, building sand castle. it is one of the best place where you enjoy with your friends and families. once I had gone to a beach at Kerala along with my cousins and family.. me and my cousins held our hands together and walked towards the water, each time the waves was our legs. you can enjoy a lot when you go to the beach. if you go to a beach at evenings you can see a beautiful site of the sunset. if I was at the beach at the evening I would surely have taking a selfie of me and my cousins with the sunset behind us.
I have a great habit of collecting the shells. I have a lot of shells now in my house. I love to draw and paint on it. last vacations when me and my cousin's went to the beach we decided to have a sand castle building competition, and the person who wins the competition will get the shells which I had collected last time and painted. I had to work hard on the sand castle to keep my shells safely with me. I decorated my sand castle with shells around it and a small flag at the top written like this-"The castle of magic shells"finally I won the competition and got my shells safely with me.I enjoy a lot when I go to the beach.
this vacation we are planning to go to beach with my cousins, and will conduct a 60 seconds sand castle building competition which would be very hard. the price will be the best of the shells I have painted. I am so eagerly waiting for that movement to arrive. I hope that you all will enjoy a lot at the beach like me. it will be the most memorable day of your life and please don't forget to take pictures of this.
