water at the bottom of the funnel, in a beaker. Close the stopcock when all the water

• WE ADD THE IMMISCIBLE i.e Heterogeneous mixture into the separating funnel
• we let it undisturbed till they form separate layers due to their density difference
• Now rotate the stopclock without shaking it
• take a beaker and collect the water
• stop when water gets ended
• the oil remains in the funnel
• now take another beaker
• open stopclock and collect oil
