Dear Disha,
I wish I could meet you as I have so much to tell you. I guess I have to share all my news with you through this letter. You will thunder-struck to hear what has happened.
I was returning from school yesterday when I met some of my gym friends on the way. They suggested we should take the road through the woods as winter has set in and the berries have begun to grow. As we cycled through the woods we heard a peculiar wailing sound. All of us felt a little scared as the woods are reputed to be haunted by spirits. But I gathered up my courage and decided to investigate.
As I drew near the sound it suddenly stopped. I shouted out if anyone was there. There was no answer. But I heard a soft crackling sound like the sound of someone beating a plastic.
I went towards it, and guess what I saw- a small baby. My friends and I were aghast. I asked one of them to call the police. I picked up the little bundle. It was hungry and cold. The police soon arrived. The lady constable took the baby from me. We were asked many questions. The inspector thanked us and praised us for our help.
