A person cannot be judged by the awkward appearence as a book cannot be judged by its cover. Here in this story, the two boys looked shabby and untidy which made the driver disappove them. But the author's interest on them increased on finding them indulging in all sorts of odd jobs with a willingness. Their sincerity, devotion & dedication towards the work to meet the medical expences of their sister were appreciable. Through the boys do a variety of jobs & earn enough preofit, they do not want to spend the money on themselves. The qualities shown by the boys made the narrator to give the title "the two gentlemen of Verona".
Hope it helps.
