NTSE Practice Question A man has some hens and cows. If the number of heads is 48 and the number of feet equals 140, the number of hens will be? (a) 26
(b) 24
(c) 23
(d) 22

h + c = 48
2 h + 4 c = 140

2 c = 44 => c = 22
h = 26
