Explanation:

Cell membrane is the envelop of cell, just like this Nucleus is also covered by an envelop called Nuclear Envelop. It is porous means it has pores.

Why the nuclear envelop is porous?

Inside the nucleus there is transcription and translation processes occuring on for the synthesis of Proteins. Some of these proteins act as enzymes while some play a structural role. These proteins or enzymes have to move out into the cytoplasm and the organelles where they are required for proper functioning, They will come out through there Nuclear pores.

If there are no Pores, No proteins or enzymes can move out thus not proper functioning, cell may die and ultimately the death of an organism.
