5
  1. atomic no. = no. of protons = 5
  2. mass no. = no.of protons+ no. of neutrons = 5+6 = 11
  3. electronic configuration = 2,3

GIVEN : Number of Protons (p) = 5

: Number of Neutrons(n) = 6

Atomic Number= Number of Protons= Number of electrons

Z = p= e

Since the number of protons = 5

- Atomic Number (Z) = 5

Mass Number = Number of Protons + Number of Neutrons

A = p + n

= 5 + 6

= 11

Atomic Mass(A) = 11

Since the Atomic Number Of the GIVEN ELEMENT = 5

Its ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION WILL BE 2,3
* 2 electrons in K she’ll
* 3 electrons in Valance Shell (L shell)

THEREFORE, THE ELEMENT IS BORON HAVING A VALENCY 3+ or +3
