Given :

  • Ratio of boys and girls is 7:5
  • The number of boys is 8 more than the number of girls.

To find :

  • The total class strength.

According to the question,

Let the ratio be 7x and 5x

Now,it is given that the numberof boys is 8 more than the number of girls.

So,the equation formed :-

→ Number of boys = Number of girls + 8

→ 7x = 5x + 8

→ 7x - 5x = 8

→ 2x = 8

→ x = 8 ÷ 2

.°. x = 4
