and [(x × 10)+y]- 54= (y ×10)+x

giving x=4y we get,

[(4y×10)+y] - 54= (y×10)+4y

⇒[40y+y] - 54= 10y + 4y

⇒41y - 54 = 14y

⇒41y - 14y = 54

⇒27y = 54

⇒y = 54÷ 27

⇒y = 2

x= 4y

x= 4×2

x=8

∴ the number is 82
