so, number of four legged pets = 3x + 2

∴ number of legs of four legged pets = 4(3x + 2) = 12x +8 legs

  number of legs of two legged pets = 2x legs

According to the question,

⇒ 12x + 8 +2x = 358

⇒ 14x + 8 = 358

⇒ 14x = 358-8

⇒ x = 350/14

⇒ x = 25

∴ number of four legged pets = 3x + 2 = 75 + 2 = 77 pets
