1 atom of Ca, 1 atom of S, 4 atoms of O, and in associated water with 1/2 molecule of water , number of H atoms are 1 and of O atom only 1/2, so when we sum up , it comes to; Ca - 1 atom, S - 1 atom, O - 41/2 atoms and H - 1 atom and total atoms when we add up individual atoms it becomes 7 1/2 atoms to form the chemical formula of Plaster of Paris molecule
