The thumb has two bones.

Explanation:

• Humans have five fingers in each hand. The bones of fingers are called phalanges.

• Some might have more or less than five fingers per hand due to any congenital disorders like polydactyly or oligodactyly, or accidents or medical amputations.

• The smallest finger is called the little finger. Then we have the ring finger next to it, followed by middle finger, index finger, and then the big finger or the thumb.

• The thumb has two bones. First bone of the thumb is from the tip to the knuckle. The second bone is from the knuckle to the base.
