Answer:

45

Step-by-step explanation:

let the no of girls be 5x and no of boys be 4x

since girls are 5 more than the boys

4x+5 = 5x

5x - 4x = 5

x = 5

no of girls = 5 X 5 = 25

no of boys = 4 X 5 = 20

total class strength = 45

Let G be the number of Girls and B be the number of boys.

B/G = 4/5 ..............(1)

We Know That,

B+5 = G ..................(2)

Sub (2) in (1)

B/B+5 = 4/5

5B = 4B + 20

B = 20 .....................(3)

Sub (3) in (2)

B + 5 = G

G = 25

So the number of boys in the class is 20

and the number of girls is 25.
