Hey mate!!

Let total number of employees in beginning = 8K

And total number of employees in present = 7K

Let salary of an employee in beginning = 5L

and salary of an employee in present = 6L

∴ Total salary in beginning = 8K × 5L = 40KL

and total salary in present = 7K × 6L = 42 KL

Required ratio = 40KL : 42KL = 20 : 21

Clearly, salary is increased.

Thanks for the question!!

Answer:

The total salary given to the employees is increased in the ratio 20:21.

Step-by-step explanation:

Ratio and proportion:

  • Let the number of employees in a factory in the beginning = 8a

the number of employees in a factory at present = 7a

  • Let the salary of employees in the beginning = 5b

the salary of employees at present = 6b

  • Total salary = (no. of employees)x(salary of employees)

Total salary of employees in the beginning = (8a)(5b)

                                                                                    = 40ab

Total salary of employees at present = (7a)(6b)

                                                                                     = 42ab

Ratio of total salary of employees in the beginning and at present

          = 40ab: 42ab

          = 40:42

          =20:21

Hence the total salary of employees is increased and the ratio is 20:21.
