we know that

Ca=40gm

C=12gm

O=16gm

So

CaCO3=40+12+16*3

           =52+48

           =100gm

no. of moles=given mass/molar mass

                   =25/100

                   =1/4gm

                   =0.25gm


meghnamanavi: atomic masses of C and O are 12 and 16 respectively. You wrote wrong.
