HgCl2 + 4KI ➡️ K2HgI4 + 2KCl.

So,

4 mole KI = 1 mole K2HgI4

So, x mole KI = 0.4 mole K2HgI4

So, x = 4×0.4

= 1.6 mole is your answer.
