First you have to make an equation and then balance it properly.

Then the equation will be..

CH3-CH2-CH2-CH3 + (13/2)O2 = 4CO2 + 5H2O

That means,

1 mole butane needs = ( 13/2)mole 02

2 mole butane needs = 13 mole O2
