as a first thing we need to find the degree of hydration of ferrous sulphate

as mol wt of ferrous sulphate is 152gm

here they given 278gm ,the extra mol wt of the compound is from water molecules

therefore,mass of water molecules present in 278gm is 278-152=126gm

#no of moless of water are 126/18=7moles

therefore no of atoms of oxygen in 1 molecule ferrous sulphate is 7(from 7molecules of water)

+ 4(from feso4)=11 gram atoms.

we conclude that,
