Number of students studying in college M and N are in the ratio 4:3 respectively. If 100
more students join the college M and there is no change in the number of students of college
N, then the respective ratio become 7:5. What is the number of students in college N?​

Answer:

take the ratio values as x

4:3 - 4x,3x

similarly 7x,5x

after the change

students in M college = 4x+100 = 7x

                                       -3x = -100

                                        3x = 100

                                        x = 100/3

                                        x = 33

thus students in College N = 5x = 5*33 = 165 students.
