Raju's father age is 45 years, which is also equal to sum of the ages of Raju and his sister.

\implies\:\sf{Age\:of\:Raju's\:father\:=\:45}

Let us assume that the age of Raju by x years and his sister be y years.

As, age of Raju and his sister is also equal to age if their father.

\implies\:\sf{x\:+\:y\:=\:45}

Also, given that age of Raju's sister is 12.

\implies\:\sf{y\:=\:12}

What we have to do is.. just simply put the value of y in above equation.

By putting value of y in above equation, we can tell the actual age of Raju.

According to question,

\longrightarrow\:\sf{x\:+\:12\:=\:45}

Take 12 on L.H.S. By taking it L.H.S. it become -12

\longrightarrow\:\sf{x\:=\:45\:-\:12}

\longrightarrow\:\sf{x\:=\:33}

Therefore, Age of Raju is 33 years.

But according to question we have to represent the given information in linear equation.

So, linear equation is x + y = 45
