A slip is to be drawn from it, but before doing so, on must
guess about the number: either prime umber or a multiple of five :Which is the better guess? Why?​

The probability of getting multiple of 5= 10/50=2/10=0.2

There are 15 prime numbers in the box

The probability of getting prime number = 15/50=3/15= 0.3

Multiples of 5 in between 1 and 50 are 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50. They are 10 in number.

Probability of drawing a prime number is 15/50 = 3/10.

Probability of drawing a multiple of 5 is 10/50 = 2/10.

Hence there is better chance for prime number to show up than a multiple of 5.
