Answer:

the fraction is 5/3

Step-by-step explanation:

let x and y be the numerator and denominator of the fraction.

given, x = 2y-1

also, (x+3) / (y+3) = 4/3

            => 3(x+3) = 4(y+3)

            => 3x + 9 = 4y + 12

            => 3(2y-1) = 4y + 12 - 9

            =>  6y - 3 = 4y + 3

          =>  6y - 4y = 3 + 3

                 =>  2y = 6

                 =>  y = 6/2

                 =>  y = 3

substitute the value y=3 in x = 2y-1

=> x = 2(3) - 1

=> x = 6 - 1

=> x = 5

=> the fraction is 5/3
