Let the numerator be x

Let the numerator be x

And the the denominator be y

According to first condition

According to first condition

Y=x-2

X-y=2............1

According to second condition

X-2/y+2= 1/3

X-2 = 3(y+2)

X-2 = 3y+6

X-3y= 6+2

X-3y = 8..................2

X-3y = 8..................2

X-3y=8..................

X-3y=8................2

Substracting equation 1 from 2

We get

Y= 2

Y= 2

Substitute y=2 in equation 1

We get x= 4
