Question-

A truck attains a speed of 10 m/s in 10s starting from rest. Calculate the acceleration of the truck.

Solution-

Given that, the truck attains a speed of 10 m/s in 10 sec.

So, final velocity (v) = 10 m/s and time (t) = 10 sec

Also given that, Initial velocity (u) of the truck is 0 m/s. [As the truck attains a speed of 10 m/s starting from rest]

We have to find the acceleration (a) of the truck.

Using First Equation of Motion,

v = u + at

Substitute the known values

→ 10 = 0 + a(10)

→ 10 = 10a

Divide by 10 on both sides

→ 10/10 = 10a/10

→ 1 = a

Therefore, acceleration of the truck is 1 m/s².

Given:-

A truck attains a speed of 10 m/s in 10 s starting from rest.

To find:-

The acceleration of the truck.

Solution:-

Time(t) = 10 s

Initial velocity(u) = 0 m/s       (As the bus started from rest).

Final velocity(v) = 10 m/s

We know,

v = u + at

Putting the values in the above equation :

10 = 0 + a(10)

⇒10 = 10a

\boxed{\implies a = 1\ m/s\²}

So, the acceleration of the truck in time(t) is 1 m/s².
