Ans : Speed = distance travelled / time  

Therefore,

distance travelled = speed x time

 

In 30 minutes or 0.5 Hr the car travelling with the speed of 30 Km/Hr will cover the distance (15KM)  

By solving : 30 x 0.5 = 15 Km distance

 

similarly, with the speed of 40 Km/Hr for 1 hour, the car will cover

= 40 x 1 = 40 Km

 

Therefore, just add the Values :  15 Km + 40 Km = 55 Km
